I believe that one of the top reasons why companies change ERP systems is that they are frustrated by the reporting that they get out of their current system.
That’s why I’ve created ARC, an Acumatica Reporting Club.
I don’t want you to feel frustrated when it comes to reporting in Acumatica.
There are several forums available, each focussing on a particular reporting tool available in Acumatica:
- Acumatica Dashboards
- Acumatica Pivot Tables
- Acumatica Analytical Report Manager (Financial Report Writer)
- Acumatica Schema
- Acumatica Report Designer
- Acumatica Generic Inquiries
- Microsoft Excel and Acumatica OData
- Power BI and Acumatica OData
- Everything Else (for everything that doesn’t fit into one of the above forums)
The ARC forums are completely separate from Acumatica the company, so you can expect to get the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth without any marketing spin when it comes to your questions about reporting in Acumatica. Transparency and honesty are highly valued here.
Speaking of transparency, traditional support models drive me crazy. When you ask a question to a support department, if you’re like me, then you’re probably thinking, “someone else must have asked this question before”. Why do the conversations have to be so protected. Why can’t they be public so everyone can benefit from them?
All conversations are public in ARC. That way everyone can benefit from the knowledge. If you need private consulting, contact me and maybe we can work something out.
Your Product Not Named Acumatica?
You might be working with a product that is not called Acumatica.
Maybe your product is called ACCEO, Lexware, MYOB Advanced, or VISMA.
ACCEO, Lexware, MYOB Advanced, and VISMA are known as “white-labeled” Acumatica products. Acumatica is the platform under-the-hood, but additional things have been built on top of the standard Acumatica application.
Well, good news, since all of these products are built on top of Acumatica, the reporting tools are the same and you should be able to take full advantage of an ARC membership.
The white-labeling program from Acumatica is pretty cool because it extends the reach all over the world: ACCEO in Canada, Lexware in Germany, MYOB Advanced in Australia, and VISMA in Northern Europe. And there are more and more white-labeled applications popping up every month. These are just the major players.
This kind of global reach creates for a lot of very interesting reporting scenarios and I’m looking forward to see the kinds of questions that come up in the ARC Forums.
A Word About Muppets
When you browse the ARC Forums, you may notice that there are a lot of posts from muppets (Kermit, Piggy, Beaker, Gonzo, Fozzie, Scooter, Rowlf, and Animal).
Basically, I wanted a way to make posts even when no one is asking any questions. So that’s me posting as the muppets and having conversations with myself.
I find that it’s a way for me to keep it fun.
If you don’t know the muppets, this one minute video should get you up-to-speed (click here).
